{"id":196909,"date":"2016-03-07T21:17:31","date_gmt":"2016-03-07T21:17:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=196909"},"modified":"2016-03-07T21:17:31","modified_gmt":"2016-03-07T21:17:31","slug":"student-dead-in-accident-during-excursion-to-lake-bosomtwe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=196909","title":{"rendered":"Student dead in accident during excursion to Lake Bosomtwe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One person is\u00a0reported dead in a car crash\u00a0that occurred on the afternoon of Monday, March 7, at Abono near Lake Bosomtwe in the Ashanti Region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The accident involved students from a Presby Junior High School at Koforidua in the Eastern Region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;1AVv4Wnx0Mp1kseUfwfh6Ka3vZo2uIXD&#8221;]They were on their way to Lake Bosomtwe for a fun trip when the unfortunate incident occurred.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Reports suggest that the driver of the Metro Mass Bus transporting the students lost control of the vehicle after the brakes failed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">An eyewitness, Azeez Ummar, told <strong>Citi News<\/strong> the accident\u00a0happened when they were descending an undulating road.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He said some of the students upon seeing the danger ahead tried\u00a0to escape by\u00a0jumping out of the vehicle.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;Unfortunately one of the ladies found herself under the vehicle and the vehicle passed on her head.
