According to a statement\u00a0signed by the Ministry of Interior, Prosper Bani, President John Mahama had by executive instrument, declared Monday a holiday.<\/p>\n
The holiday has become necessary following the celebration of Ghana’s 59th Independence anniversary \u00a0celebration which falls on Sunday this year.<\/p>\n

Kenya\u2019s President to grace 59th independence celebration\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Kenya\u2019s President Uhuru Kenya will be the special guest of President John Dramani Mahama during this year\u2019s 6th\u00a0 March anniversary celebrations.<\/p>\n The Kenyan President has been invited by his Ghanaian counterpart to join in the nation\u2019s celebration of the 59th anniversary of its independence.<\/p>\n This came to light when President John Mahama presented letters of credence to the immediate past director of state Protocol Ambassador Kwame Tenkorang who now resumes duties as Ghana\u2019s ambassador to Kenya.
