{"id":195105,"date":"2016-03-02T13:00:31","date_gmt":"2016-03-02T13:00:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=195105"},"modified":"2016-03-02T13:00:31","modified_gmt":"2016-03-02T13:00:31","slug":"water-crisis-nsawam-adoagyiri-gets-borehole","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=195105","title":{"rendered":"Water crisis: Nsawam-Adoagyiri gets borehole"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One of the new boreholes promised the\u00a0people of Nsawam\u00a0Adoagyiri in the Eastern Region, has been commissioned and is producing 500,000 gallons of water per day, according to the\u00a0Ministry for Water Resources, Works and Housing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;N9kx4GIwNdLWiTD9W1Uxfk9tyjowLEIW&#8221;]Prior to the government&#8217;s intervention, residents of the Nsawam-Adoagyiri Municipality and surrounding communities had lived without portable water due to the drying up of the Densu River.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking to the press during an\u00a0inspection of the newly constructed borehole, the Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing, Dr. Kweku Agyeman-Manu,\u00a0gave assurances that government was working hard to construct more mechanized boreholes to address\u00a0the water crisis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-195112\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/0e7756d5-65e5-494f-840a-1a4938c8a3e2.jpg\" alt=\"0e7756d5-65e5-494f-840a-1a4938c8a3e2\" width=\"600\" height=\"337\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mr. Agyeman-Manu\u00a0said, \u201ccurrently the project in Nsawam-Adoagyiri is producing 500,000 gallons of water per day.
