Hundreds of mourners have gathered at the Police social center in Accra to commemorate one week of the death of the Member of Parliament for the Abuakwa North constituency Joseph Boakye Danquah Adu.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Mr. Amissah Arthur wrote the following in the book of condolence:<\/div>\n

Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur, flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party; Nana Akufo-Addo, NPP stalwarts and sympathizers are at the place to mourn with the family.\u00a0This is a one crime that is impossible to explain.\u00a0The motive is lost to almost everybody. All we know is that it has terminated the life of a promising man. A career has been cut short. Ghana is the loser.\u00a0We symphathize with the family and pray that they will be able to carry on.<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

The one week observation\u00a0in Accra follows a similar one<\/a><\/strong><\/span> that took place at his hometown at Tafo in the Eastern Region yesterday [Tuesday].<\/p>\n

JB Danquah was allegedly killed\u00a0by a 19-year-old boy who stormed his residence at\u00a0Shiashie in Accra last week to steal.<\/p>\n

According to the Police charge sheet, the suspect,\u00a0Daniel Asiedu went to the residence of JB Danquah at about 1:00am with \u201ccatapult, a cutter and a sharp knife\u2026[went] through the iron fence at the blind side of the security man who was fast asleep.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe suspect picked a ladder in the house and climbed to the porch of the top floor and entered the bed room through the window whilst the deceased was sleeping. Suspect began to search the room but deceased woke up and held him. He stabbed deceased on the right chest above the breast. Deceased held the knife and shouted for help but no one came. The suspect pulled the knife through the deceased hands creating a deep cut in his palm.”<\/p>\n

\u201cDeceased who was bleeding profusely fell by his bed helpless and the suspect stabbed him again on the right chest below the breast. Suspect realizing that the deceased was alsmost dead left him and took away his two iphones and a tablet. Suspect managed to descend from the top to the back of the house and climbed one of the poly tanks in the house and jumped over the electric fence into the adjoining house and escaped,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n
