<\/p>\nA Bangladeshi man dubbed as the tree-man because of wart-like lesions growing from his hands and feet has been admitted to hospital.<\/p>\n
Abul Bajandar, 25, from Khulna, has been suffering from a disease known as Epidermodysplasia Verruciformis – a rare and inherited skin disorder – for the past seven years.<\/p>\n
Doctors at the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) will now decide on his treatment after forming a medical board of experts.<\/p>\n
Dr Samanta Lal Sen, chief coordinator of National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery of the DMCH, made the announcement today.<\/p>\n
On duty doctors visited Mr Bajandar at the burn unit, where he had been admitted today.
\nAccording to the dailystar.net, the ricksaw-van puller was previously taken to the Gazi Medical College Hospital in Khulna.<\/p>\n
According to local reports, the original tree-man Dede Koswara, of Indonesia, died today.<\/p>\n

Tribunnnews.com reported that it wasn’t the disease to cause his death.<\/p>\n
In 2008 the Discovery Channel told the story Mr Koswara. In the programme, he returned home from hospital after having six kilo warts surgically removed from his body.<\/p>\n
An American doctor had previously said the warts were the result of severe Human Pappiloma Virus (HPV) infection and doctors thought his type was the worst in the world.<\/p>\n
The father-of-two first noticed the warts on his body after cutting his knee as a teenager.<\/p>\n He was later sacked from his job and shunned by neighbours when the branch-like growths covered much of his body and stopped him from working.<\/p>\n At the time it was reported that he would need at least two operations every year.<\/p>\n Previously, Mr Koswara was forced to take part in a circus act in Bandung in order to make ends meet.<\/p>\n But once his case was publicised donations from the public began to flood in for his treatment.<\/p>\n – A Bangladeshi man dubbed as the tree-man because of wart-like lesions growing from his hands and feet has been admitted to hospital.
