Legendary Highlife musician, Amakye Dede, joined members of the St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church at Lapaz in Accra on Sunday, to thank God for sparing his life in a gory accident on New Year\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n

The \u2018Iron Boy\u2019 as he’s affectionately called, recently thanked <\/a><\/strong><\/span>President John Dramani Mahama, Nana Akufo-Addo, CEO of Despite Group, Osei Kwame and all Ghanaians for the show of support as he recuperated from the crash that killed his manager<\/a> <\/strong><\/span>and long-time friend Isaac Yeboah.<\/p>\n

The man, highly credited for blazing the trail of highlife music in Ghana, spent a few days at the Cardiothoracic Unit of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, where he was treated.<\/p>\n

At the Church on Sunday in the company and friends and family, Mr. Amakye Dede was seen kneeling and later lying prostrate in a show of gratitude to his maker.<\/p>\n

Accident<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Bunso Junction accident on the Accra-Kumasi Highway, left Amakye Dede and his bodyguard hospitalized in the Eastern Region, but were later transferred to Accra.<\/p>\n

The three, who sat in a stationary Toyota Corolla Car, were crashed by a sprinter bus which veered off its lane and run into them.<\/p>\n

Amakye Dede was waiting to perform at the Paradise Rest Stop when the accident occurred. The singer, who sustained some lacerations, is responding to treatment together with his bodyguard.<\/p>\n

He is reported to have wept uncontrollably after he was informed of his manager\u2019s demise days after the accident.<\/p>\n

He described his late Manager as an irreplaceable friend, \u201cI have lost my best friend, my brother and my manager Isaac and it will be very difficult to get a replacement for Isaac. It will be very difficult to get a friend or a manager like Isaac but God knows best.\u201d
