The Head of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Tema, Ebenezer Fiagbe has been shot dead by suspected robbers.<\/p>\n
The 48-year-old man was murdered at his residence in Tema.<\/p>\n
Narrating the incident to Citi News<\/strong>, the Public Relations Officer of the Tema Police Command, ASP Juliana Obeng said in the early hours of Monday, some three suspected robbers entered the residence of the deceased carrying AK 47 riffles, then later attacked and shot him.<\/p>\n \u201cBetween the hours of 2.30 and 3 am, the Police patrol team had information there was robbery going on in the area. Three men armed with AK 47 riffles broke into the house in the early hours of the day and shot him. \u201c<\/p>\n She revealed that the team \u201cquickly rushed to the scene \u00a0but unfortunately at the time they got there robbers had left.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThey rather found the body of a man who later investigations revealed was the body of one Ebenezer Fiagbe aged 48 years who I\u2019m told was the head of the Environmental Protection Agency here in Tema,” she added.<\/p>\n It is unclear whether the robbers\u2019 main objective was to kill Mr. Fiagbe since according to ASP Justin, they did not take anything along after shooting him.<\/p>\n The body of the deaceased has since been deposited at the mortuary.<\/p>\n ASP Justin further stated that investigation into the incident is currently ongoing .<\/p>\n Mr. Fiagbe left behind a wife and two children.<\/p>\n –<\/p>\n By: Marian Ansah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana
