{"id":174368,"date":"2015-12-14T14:00:11","date_gmt":"2015-12-14T14:00:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=174368"},"modified":"2015-12-14T16:24:23","modified_gmt":"2015-12-14T16:24:23","slug":"replicate-the-love-of-jesus-in-your-lives-mrs-amissah-arthur-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=174368","title":{"rendered":"Replicate the love of Jesus in your lives \u2013 Mrs Amissah Arthur"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Second lady, Mrs Matilda Amissah-Arthur,\u00a0has asked Ghanaians to replicate the love Jesus showed through his\u00a0sacrifice on the cross in their lives.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to her,\u00a0the essence of Christmas is love and Ghana as a country needs that love.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She noted that although many Ghanaians claimed to be Christians, they hardly followed\u00a0the doctrines of the Bible,\u00a0which she said taught\u00a0people to love even their enemies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She was speaking at the Accra Christmas chorale night organised by the Church of Jesus Christ of\u00a0Latter Day Saints (LDS) at their headquarters in Accra <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1483930881\"><span class=\"aQJ\">on Saturday<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>Mrs Amissah-Arthur said although love was paramount at Christmas, there was a need for the love shown to be genuine even with the gifts people give out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat is when your blessing will come,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>The Second Lady expressed regret\u00a0that many people who she said\u00a0claimed\u00a0to be Christians were\u00a0not exhibiting\u00a0love in their relations with people,\u00a0especially\u00a0friends, colleagues at work and spouses at home.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/image-1.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-174371 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/image-1.jpeg\" alt=\"image (1)\" width=\"600\" height=\"376\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/image-1.jpeg 600w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/image-1-300x188.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;This is not what the Lord\u00a0came to teach us,&#8221;\u00a0she said, adding that people must show love to others\u00a0even if no one is\u00a0watching.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThis Christmas, it is my prayer that we all make it a point that if we haven\u2019t started loving our children, spouses, colleagues, our church sisters and brothers, our neighbours then may I please ask we start this Christmas and show genuine love .<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cLet us ask the Lord to give us the grace to love those we find it difficult to love and may this season steer us to continue showing love, \u201cshe said.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/image-2.jpeg\"><img class=\"size-full wp-image-174369 aligncenter\" alt=\"image (2)\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The festive evening saw choir groups such as the Winneba Youth Choir, Bountiful Collegiate Chorale and in-house LDS Multi Stake Choir entertain guests with melodious Christmas chorals,\u00a0eliciting\u00a0rapturous applause and cheers after every delivery.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">In between the Harmonious chorals were readings of passages of the Bible that catalogued the birth of Jesus Christ to his crucifixion.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Source: GraphicOnline<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Second lady, Mrs Matilda Amissah-Arthur,\u00a0has asked Ghanaians to replicate the love Jesus showed through his\u00a0sacrifice on the cross in their lives.
