Sammy Crabbe, the suspended Second Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has predicted doom for the party in 2016, which he blames on recent suspensions in the party.<\/p>\n
According to him, the suspension of a number of party executives is only \u201cdestroying the NPP and jeopardizing their\u00a0chances in the 2016 elections.\u201d<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”VEGV79ZFmK2lnGUQ1Nl9II6M5rlIpBCO”]Mr. Crabbe, a perceived ally to the suspended National Chairman, Paul Afoko, was suspended indefinitely<\/a><\/strong><\/span> along with NPP General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong, for refusing to appear before the party’s Disciplinary Committee after several invitations.<\/p>\n According to the NPP, Mr. Crabbe violated article 3 (D) of the party’s constitution and also\u00a0in conjunction with the suspended\u00a0\u00a0National Chairman PaulAfoko and Kwabena Agyepong, launched party membership cards and fundraising activities without authorization from the National Executive Committee (NEC).”<\/p>\n But Mr. Crabbe\u00a0insists his suspension is illegal<\/a><\/strong> <\/span>hence he and has refused to acknowledge it, threatening to go to court if need be.<\/p>\n Speaking on Citi FM<\/strong>\u2019s News analysis programme on Saturday, The Big Issue<\/strong>, Sammy Crabbe explained that if the party is able to iron out issues bothering it quickly, they would be able to snatch power from the incumbent\u00a0National Democratic Congress.<\/p>\n Mr. Crabbe advised that instead of suspending people from the party, the NPP should focus its attention and resources to\u00a0ensure that the NDC is removed from office come 2016.<\/p>\n \u201cI believe that parties and institutions go through issues. I believe that if we recover quickly and allow our constitution to work, it will unite us and we shall win the election in 2016.\u00a0If we don\u2019t, we may be headed for trouble and I want to call people\u2019s attention to it.\u201d<\/p>\n
