Ghanaian Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy, has pledged his support for campaigns aimed at ensuring peace in the country during, before and after next year’s general elections.<\/p>\n
Speaking to co-host of\u00a0Citi FM\u2019s Traffic Avenue<\/strong>, Philip Ashong, Stonebwoy said, \u201cI\u2019m a citizen of Ghana, I belong to a country but I believe that I\u2019m a citizen of the world first before a citizen of Ghana.\u201d<\/p>\n Stonebwoy says although the stakes are high in the 2016 elections, the peace and stability of the country remains paramount and must be guarded at all times.<\/p>\n He thus\u00a0pledged to step up wherever the need arises to promote peace, and urged other artistes to do same.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are all thriving in our own endeavors hoping to have peace whilst we go about our lives most especially as it an election year.\u00a0Whenever I’ll\u00a0be needed to add a voice to promote peace and tranquility to create awareness, I will be there. 2016 will require of us such duties” he noted.<\/p>\n He urged people to avoid any political skirmishes with the message\u00a0“don’t fight, just vote, just elect, just choose”.<\/p>\n Decemba 2 Rememba Concert<\/strong><\/p>\n But even\u00a0before the year 2016 is rounded up with the elections, what has become known as the official Christmas party, the\u00a0Decemba 2 Rememba concert, is set to end the year 2015, and it cannot be complete without the award winning artiste on stage.<\/p>\n Stonebwoy\u00a0is asking music lovers to come energized for the concert.\u00a0\u201cWe are there because of them and they are there because of us so they should come in their numbers.”<\/p>\n He assured fans he will bring his \u201cA-game\u201d on the night of #D2R2015.<\/p>\n The Citi FM event will feature other acts like\u00a0E.L, Pappy Kojo, Gasmilla, Kontihene, Atom, Eazzy, Okyeame Kwame and\u00a0a host of others.<\/p>\n The event will be held on December 24 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
