The incumbent National Democratic Congress (NDC), has asked its members to ignore attacks by former First Lady and leader of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings.<\/p>\n
Mrs. Rawlings, wife of Mr, Rawlings, Founder of the NDC,\u00a0in an address to her supporters in the Volta Region, questioned why President John Mahama lashed out at Ghanaians who criticize him.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”XafvgFdz0jaihn8G3b0FtH9Cqhex40yL”]She said \u201cwhatever it is, criticism is good for your own spiritual growth and upbringing and helps you to improve on your way of life\u2026it is very important to have criticism because it helps to bring you back in line.\u00a0But if you say that you will not agree to anyone criticizing you because they have never been in your position, then you are someone we should put a big question mark on and not look at you as a leader at all,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
But a statement signed by the NDC\u2019s Deputy General Secretary, Koku Anyidoho, accused Mrs. Rawlings of conspiring with the opposition NPP to run down President Mahama.<\/p>\n
The statement which asked members of the NDC to ignore Mrs. Rawlings said \u201cIt is common knowledge that she is in cahoots with the fast-sinking NPP and because the party is under serious pressure, she has decided to attack the NDC so we go into a dog fight with her to create an escape route for NPP.\u201d<\/p>\n
Anyidoho further directed communicators of the party not to comment on the issue in the media saying \u201cOn all media networks; let us just use \u2018no comment\u2019 to ignore her and stay focused on our game plan.\u201d<\/p>\n
