{"id":170626,"date":"2015-11-30T05:56:59","date_gmt":"2015-11-30T05:56:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=170626"},"modified":"2015-11-30T06:07:43","modified_gmt":"2015-11-30T06:07:43","slug":"ill-be-glad-if-mahama-loses-2016-casely-hayford","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=170626","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;I\u2019ll be glad if Mahama loses 2016&#8217; \u2013 Casely-Hayford"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Financial Analyst and social commentator, Sydney Casely-Hayford, says\u00a0he would be elated\u00a0if President John Mahama is voted out of government in 2016.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to him, he does not think President Mahama has anything to offer Ghanaians if he is reelected next year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;0CX2QpqJt0vexIeWA9gOON3Kv5pa5azH&#8221;]He buttressed his argument with the current economic and power challenges facing the nation which he said the government has been struggling to deal with.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking on <strong>Citi FM<\/strong>\u2019s news analysis programme, <strong>The Big Issue<\/strong> on Saturday, Casely-Hayford said he would prefer to have the former Secretary General of the United Nations, Kofi Annan as the President, than to see John Mahama lead the nation for the next four years.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIf it comes to administration, technically speaking, developing this country further and going on, from what John Mahama has done in the last three years, I do not think that he is the right person to go forward for the next four years. In fact, I will be glad to see that John Mahama does not win because I don\u2019t think this country will develop any better with John Mahama in place for another four years,\u201d Casely-Hayford said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cDon\u2019t ask me who I think should come there, there is an opposition candidate and by saying that, I don\u2019t want Mahama to win does not mean I endorse the opposition candidate. I have a person who I think will really be a better person to run this country if everything should be handed over and done properly. And I\u2019m thinking that if a Kofi Annan should feel that he can become a candidate despite his age, I think this country will vote him in,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Casely-Hayford is a member of the Occupy Ghana pressure group, which has had to repeatedly discard suggestions that it is a pro-opposition pressure group.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By: Godwin A.
