justify;\">The ship which will add about 225 megawatts of power to the nation\u2019s grid arrived on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a justify;\">Speaking to the media after a short ceremony to welcome the ship, the Minister of Power said though it will boost \u00a0Ghana&#8217;s power supply, he stressed that the power ship will not totally solve the power crisis.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/power-barge-at-tema-2_578x400.jpg\"><img justify;\">Meanwhile officials from the Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo) disclosed that, the barge will be connected to the nation\u2019s power grid within a week.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: by Turkish company, Karpowership, was expected to dock at Tema on Friday afternoon but was pushed back due to some delays in documentation and routine formalities at the Abidjan Port, where the barge was offloaded by the Black Marlin, a speed deck cargo ship.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/power-barge-at-tema-8_600x360.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-170565 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/power-barge-at-tema-8_600x360.jpg\" escorted the barge to Tema and provided security after it took over from the Western Naval Command.<\/p>\n<p><a of\u00a0medium term measures adopted by government to mitigate the effects of the power crisis.<\/p>\n<p>President John Mahama is expected to formally inaugurate the barge within the next ten
