<\/a><\/p>\nEva Kuupoulo and Ghansah Kwesi Ewur were drawn from the Degree and Diploma programmes.<\/p>\n
They each took home a laptop, a Sony digital recorder, a set of books, branded certificates and a cash prize.<\/p>\n They were given the awards during the institute’s graduation ceremony held at the forecourt of the Ghana Institute of Journalism today.<\/p>\n Speaking to at the ceremony, a Deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Nii Lantey Vanderpuiye urged the young journalists to ensure that local content dominate the nation\u2019s media landscape rather than foreign ones.<\/p>\n He also cautioned them to be circumspect in their reportage especially as the nation prepares for a major election in 2016 saying \u201cthey should think about what will keep this country together, the peace, stability and peace of our country more than anything else.<\/p>\n In all about 520 students graduated with either degree or diploma certificates in Journalism or Public Relations.<\/p>\n –<\/p>\n Photos by: Godwin A.
