The ongoing global campaign to end violence against women and children which was launched on Wednesday,\u00a0has been greeted with impunity in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region, after a 28-year-old Monica Kabenla and her husband, whose name was only given as Emma, whipped their 8 year-old niece with hot machete.<\/p>\n
The victim, Rose Quesi Ebah, an orphan, was allegedly whipped for returning home late after accompanying a neighbour to the farm.<\/p>\n
