Although some Vodafone customers have expressed worry at the number of \u2018Try Again\u2019 messages they have encountered scratching the recharge cards in a bid to win massive cash prize and other goodies in the \u2018Yee Twi K\u0186\u2019 promotion, determined customers say they are not quitters and will keep recharging till they win the instant prizes or build enough points for the grand draw.<\/p>\n

Despite pockets of uncertainty from some customers as to how the promotion works, thousands of customers have won various gifts in the \u2018Yee Twi K\u0186\u2019 promotion which is the biggest individual prize scheme ever undertaken to reward customers in the country. The previous record being 150,000 individual prizes.<\/p>\n

To stand a good chance of winning, customers are required to \u2018Scratch and Win\u2019 or \u2018Build Points\u2019 as they recharge, make calls, send SMS, browse the internet or purchase bundles and avail themselves to win the over 180,000 individual prizes on offer comprising air time and cash prizes.<\/p>\n

Contrary to rumours that Vodafone chooses deliberate winners, KPMG, the data collating agency partnering Vodafone in the \u2018Yee Twi K\u0186\u2019 determines winners on a daily, weekly and monthly basis based on frequency of usage of Vodafone credits for calls, text or online use. To further level the playing field; retailers get random allotments making it difficult for any one retailer to be allotted winning cards to the detriment of others.<\/p>\n

Although certain persons have sought to denigrate the \u2018Yee Twi K\u0186\u2019 promotion aimed at rewarding Vodafone Ghana\u2019s loyal customers for helping make the brand Ghana\u2019s Best Network for 6 Years, there is room to seek answers from Vodafone officials even at the headquarters at Airport City on issues not clear enough about the promotion. Building goodwill for brand can be tiring and costly; it is only fair to hear the other side before drawing conclusions.<\/p>\n

For those who scratch the second opaque latex panel of the Vodafone scratch card and discover \u2018Try Again\u2019 all hope is not lost as the bearer of the card based on the amount recharged or spent shall be building up points which qualifies the customer for the race to win the Ultimate Cash Prize of GHS100, 000 at the end of the 70 days promo duration. For every 10 pesewas recharged or spent, 1 point is gained and points build up can be checked by dialing *5000#.<\/p>\n

Customers, who win weekly cash prizes, will have their prizes delivered directly to their phones through Vodafone Cash.\u00a0 They can then withdraw the cash at any Vodafone Cash agent nationwide or register their Vodafone Cash accounts and be able to buy airtime with their prize money. Winners of monthly prizes will collect their cheques at an agreed Vodafone office or store nationwide.<\/p>\n

Ghana\u2019s high internet penetration rate is appreciable enabling more citizens to be online. To make the \u2018Ye Twi K\u0186\u2019 promotion fair, customers whose usage is heaviest have been grouped and others with comparable spending strength also grouped so the mighty and small have a fair chance of winning gifts.<\/p>\n

At the end of the week, the highest spender wins then the highest spender of the various spending brackets wins the monthly prize of GHS 30,000 followed by the 2nd winner who wins GHS 10,000 and the 3rd prize winner gets GHS 5,000.<\/p>\n

To reduce travel time and make life easier for Vodafone Ghana winning customers, those who win cash can retrieve the amount at Vodafone Cash centres without travelling all the way to the headquarters in Accra. Those who win airtime must remember to load the 14 digit number in the second panel on their phones to become activated.<\/p>\n

It has to also be said that since airtime won can easily be loaded on the winner\u2019s phone by him or herself and cash even retrieved at the nearest Vodafone Cash centre, a good number of winners prefer to enjoy on the low without taking photos or prompting relatives lest they seek to benefit from their goodies, it could explain why photos of winners are not splashed all over as would have been the case should beneficiaries come to Accra to retrieve say a Tee shirt where a photo would be taken.<\/p>\n

For folks determined to win something in the promo, it only makes sense that any recharge card which has its second panel scratched before purchase should be rejected as it appears certain retailers in a bid to also win are\u00a0 be tempted to scratch.<\/p>\n

Customers who win the GHS 30,000 monthly cash are not eligible for more monthly prizes but are eligible for the Ultimate Draw which shall be held at the West Hills Mall on 26th December 2015.<\/p>\n

Vodafone Ghana staff and relations of employees are barred from benefiting from the \u2018Ye Twi K\u0186\u2019 promotion. It is strictly for customers who spend as little as GHS 1.00 to those who spend GHS 50.00 on recharge cards.<\/p>\n
