Maclean Atsu Dzidzienyo, one of Ghana\u2019s leading para athletes, says if more equipment is made available to him and his fellow athletes, they will perform better in international competitions.<\/p>\n
Dzidzienyo recently won gold in the 2015 Outeniqua Wheelchair Challenge in South Africa and he wants to go further and book a place in the 2016 Rio Olympics.
\nHe told Citi Sports in an interview on Thursday that if para athletes would get more support, they would do well for Ghana.<\/p>\n

Almost all of the things we use are from donations from people and establishments in and outside the country. We also need support in terms of air tickets to enable us go to competitions and grants to help us prepare for competition.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cIf we get these things, we will excel for Ghana\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n
Dzidzienyo and some other para athletes will be competing in this weekend\u2019s National Para Sports Festival at the Accra Sports Stadium.<\/p>\n
