{"id":168788,"date":"2015-11-21T22:42:00","date_gmt":"2015-11-21T22:42:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=168788"},"modified":"2015-11-23T10:51:54","modified_gmt":"2015-11-23T10:51:54","slug":"ndcdecides-agbesi-george-loh-gidisu-defeated","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=168788","title":{"rendered":"#NDCDecides: Agbesi, George Loh, Gidisu defeated"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Incumbent Member of Parliament for Ashaiman, Alfred Agbesi was convincingly beaten by a young former officer of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), Ernest Norgbey in the party\u2019s parliamentary primaries held on Saturday November 21.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Alfred Agbesi, who was seeking a fourth term bid in Parliament, only managed to poll 1,745 votes, with the winner, Ernest Norgbey polling a whopping 5, 171 votes.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_162193\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-162193\" style=\"width: 415px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/alfred.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-162193 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/alfred.jpg\" alt=\"Incumbent Ashaiman MP Alfred Agbesi.\" width=\"415\" height=\"330\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/alfred.jpg 415w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/alfred-300x239.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 415px) 100vw, 415px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-162193\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Incumbent Ashaiman MP Alfred Agbesi.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The other contenders, Max Voy polled 590, Emma Kumadey polled 125, Numo Addison polled 74 with Abass Osabutey polling 155 of the total votes cast.<\/p>\n<p>In the Central Tongu constituency of the Volta Region, incumbent Joe Gidisu who contested against Frank Agbanator and Alex Hottordze who won the slot.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_7755\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7755\" style=\"width: 230px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/qulx50ann3_687487637_867437.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-7755 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/qulx50ann3_687487637_867437.jpg\" alt=\"Joe Gidisu\" width=\"230\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-7755\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Joe Gidisu<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>South Dayi constituency sitting MP Simon Edem Asimah lost with 1,585 votes.<\/p>\n<p>Rockson Nelson Dafiamepkor, lawyer for businessman Alfred Woyome, won the candidature with 2,422 votes.<\/p>\n<p>Member of Parliament for North Dayi, also in the Volta Region, George Loh, lost his seat to a twenty-seven year old man.
