{"id":167340,"date":"2015-11-16T16:51:06","date_gmt":"2015-11-16T16:51:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=167340"},"modified":"2015-11-16T17:15:09","modified_gmt":"2015-11-16T17:15:09","slug":"pray-for-peace-in-npp-mahama-to-ndc-members","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=167340","title":{"rendered":"Pray for peace in NPP \u2013 Mahama to NDC members"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">President John Dramani Mahama has charged members of his party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), to pray for peace in the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to him, the\u00a0NPP\u00a0currently needs God\u2019s intervention to help the party stand up on its feet once again.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;Zr35TGIMwU99d42P0z7PMszzDeJurBt0&#8243;]\u201cIt\u2019s unfortunate what is happening in that party. There is no room in the 21<sup>st<\/sup> century politics for acid bath.\u00a0 That is why we must pray for peace for that party&#8230;we don\u2019t want to see any more injuries,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The NPP has within the past few months, faced a number violent actions which seems to have further deepened the cracks in the party.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Notable among them is the murder of the party\u2019s Upper East Region Chairman, Adam Mahama and the killing of an activist in the Asawase constituency in the Ashanti Region, following the suspension of the party\u2019s National Chairman, Paul Afoko.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The\u00a0President Mahama who was addressing a crowd of NDC members in the Greater Accra Region urged them to also pray for good health for their opponents.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;We are not campaigning on anybody\u2019s health. Every day when you pray, <a style=\"text-decoration:none; color: #333;\" href=\"http:\/\/buyambienfastmed.com\">http:\/\/buyambienfastmed.com<\/a> pray for yourself, pray for your country and your opponent so that God gives us all good health to be able to go into 2016. And I will advise our opponents to also do likewise.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u2018Useless insults won&#8217;t distract me&#8217;\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">President Mahama further said he will not be distracted from executing his mandate of transforming the nation\u00a0by what he termed \u201cuseless insults.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;&#8230;stop the insults. I have been the most insulted and my government has been the most insulted in the history of this county. And every day when you listen to the radio personal invective and insults are ruined on my person, but like I said, those things are not going to distract me. I have a job to do. I was given a mandate by the people of Ghana and I\u2019m not going to let those useless insults distract me from that mandate. But I\u2019m not surprised.
