{"id":167143,"date":"2015-11-16T05:59:13","date_gmt":"2015-11-16T05:59:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=167143"},"modified":"2015-11-16T05:59:13","modified_gmt":"2015-11-16T05:59:13","slug":"i-am-focused-despite-threats-on-my-life-anas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=167143","title":{"rendered":"I am focused despite threats on my life \u2013Anas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Celebrated Investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, says he will not cower out of his job despite the growing threats on his life and that of his family.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Anas said this in an interview with the BBC.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">His latest two-year investigative piece on perceived corruption in Ghana\u2019s judiciary, has implicated over thirty judges and magistrates, as well of judicial service staff.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Anas\u2019 previous works, some of which exposed private companies and government agencies in corruption, thievery and embezzlement, have also earned him a lot of enemies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nonetheless, Anas says he will pursue his undercover operations to expose the bad nuts and to make society a better place for all.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI am sure that by now you would have heard of the snippets of my family and many other things that are coming up. But I want to assure the people; and all on the African continent who think that they can cow people like us into docility, I am not one of them. I was purged of fear long ago and I am resolute and focused because I don\u2019t do my work alone; I have a team that supports me in what I do. As far as I am concerned, once there are evil doers in the society we must aim at ensuring that we track them down.<br \/>\nAnas in his work, has always remained anonymous clothing himself in various forms in order to protect his life from detractors.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Following his recent expos\u00e9 on corruption in Ghana\u2019s judiciary, a member of his TigereyePI private investigative firm, was <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/10\/12\/kidnapper-of-anas-boy-remanded\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>kidnapped<\/strong> <\/a><\/span>in the Northern Region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He was later rescued by the police, who arrested one of the kidnappers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Anas is also currently battling for integrity, following <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/11\/12\/amidu-again-govt-could-have-investigated-judiciary-without-fraudulent-anas\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>allegations of impropriety<\/strong> <\/a><\/span>leveled against him by a former Attorney-General Martin Amidu.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mr. Amidu has suggested that Anas is a government-agent operating an illegal entity.<br \/>\n&#8211;<br \/>\nEbenezer Afanyi Dadzie\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Celebrated Investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, says he will not cower out of his job despite the growing threats on his life and that of his family.
