The police in Kumasi have arrested and detained a student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) together with a musician friend, for allegedly robbing a foreigner.<\/p>\n
The student, Reynold Ayim, and Muhammed Ali, alias \u201cRasta\u201d, reportedly attacked the victim at knife point and seized his cash in both local and foreign currency – GH\u023c 680 and \u00a3 100, an iPhone and ATM Card.<\/p>\n
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Simon Denteh,said Edward Jones, arrived in Ghana for a visit on October 28, and was staying with a friend, also a foreigner, at the Kyirapatre Estate in Kumasi.<\/p>\n
The two foreign nationals were taking a stroll, when they were suddenly attacked and robbed by the suspects.<\/p>\n
The Crime Officer said Ayim and Ali were arrested at their Asafo hideout barely 24 hours after the crime.<\/p>\n
He said the pair would be put before court as soon as the police complete their \u00a0investigation.<\/p>\n
