Local Government and Rural Development Minister, Alhaji Collins Dauda, has touted the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly (TAMA) as a shinning model in terms of government projects execution.<\/p>\n
The Minister was\u00a0impressed with the\u00a0assembly\u2019s performance after inspecting some completed and ongoing projects in the Tamale Metropolis.<\/span><\/p>\n Alhaji Collins Dauda commended the assembly for operating in line with the Better Ghana Agenda.<\/span><\/p>\n According to him, the construction of modern markets in the metropolis is to facilitate trade as a means of poverty reduction.<\/p>\n He said\u00a0the modern markets when completed will attract traders from neighboring countries.<\/p>\n The Minister reaffirmed government\u2019s commitment to create opportunities that will enhance the income levels of residents of the area.<\/p>\n He implored contractors working on the ongoing projects to complete them on schedule.\u00a0The Tamale Metropolitan Chief Executive, Alhaji Abdul Hanan Gundado, expressed his\u00a0appreciation for government\u2019s concentration on the area.<\/p>\n He promised to judiciously use the available resources to undertake projects that\u00a0will enhance the income levels of the people.<\/p>\n He revealed the assembly\u2019s intention to plant 20 million tree seedlings to accomplish the ‘Green Tamale Project’.<\/p>\n Alhaji Gundado said the assembly will carry out the project in collaboration with the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA), and other development partners.<\/p>\n The assembly has so far expanded infrastructure in various parts of the metropolis\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 .<\/p>\n These include roads, street lights, water extension, Water Closet toilets, storm drains, market stores and sanitation facilities.<\/p>\n Moshie Zongo, Tishigu, Salamba, Aboabo, Gumani and Nyohini are among the beneficiary communities.<\/span><\/p>\n –<\/p>\n By: Abdul Karim Naatogmah\/Citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Local Government and Rural Development Minister, Alhaji Collins Dauda, has touted the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly (TAMA) as a shinning model in terms of government projects execution.
