Piles of rubbish have been scattered in some parts of Accra\u00a0after the rains that hit the capital.<\/p>\n

Some parts of Circle, Adabraka Odawna, Teshie, Kaneshie and a few other areas were inundated with flood waters during the two hour downpour.<\/p>\n

\"refuse<\/a><\/p>\n

Government, led by the Accra Metropolitan Assembly demolished hundreds of unauthorized structures believed to have contributed to the June 3 flood and fire disaster that resulted in the death of over 150 people.<\/p>\n

The exercise was expected to reduce the flooding in the capital.<\/p>\n

\"refuse<\/a><\/p>\n

However, the story, was almost the same as what happened three months ago. The only difference was that there were no casualties recorded.<\/p>\n

Citi News\u2019<\/strong> Eugenia Tenkorang visited Adabraka Odawna, where majority of the victims lived. She reports that victims of the disaster are still counting their losses several days after the floods.<\/p>\n
