The Rotary clubs of Airport and Dzorwulu in Accra have organised a free health screening exercise for residents in Madina.<\/p>\n

The exercise which took place at the Madina Market attracted over a thousand persons, most of who lived around the market.<\/p>\n

Some of the health services included HIV testing, TB screening, diabetes and blood pressure screening, condom distribution, polio and measles vaccination.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Citi News<\/strong> on the sidelines of the exercise, the President of the Dzorwulu chapter of the Rotary Club Johnson Dweban said the exercise formed part of the group\u2019s quest to ensure a healthy society.<\/p>\n

He added that the group had garnered a lot of resources to address some of the health challenges of society.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want to help society in any way we can to ensure a healthy society. Over the years we have embarked on several support programmes aimed improving the lives of Ghanaians,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He gave the assurance that the club will continue to offer such services to improve the quality of life of people.<\/p>\n

Two beneficiaries of the exercise expressed their appreciation to the club and requested them to regularly visit the area with more social support services.<\/p>\n
