Lawyer for one of the accused High Court judges, Captain Nkrabeah Effah-Dartey has rejected claims that his client, Justice Ayisi Addo received bribe from investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas and his Tigereyepi team.<\/p>\n
According to him, his client told him that, two men approached him \u201cwanting to influence him but he asked them to leave his house,\u201d hence Justice Addo is innocent of the charge of misconduct proffered against him.<\/p>\n

And this is what we will canvas before the committee to make sure that he is set free. He was not told of any money advance to him at all. He was not told that they\u2019ve left money on his table or in his bag. He has nothing to do with any money or whatsoever,\u201d the lawyer argued.<\/p>\n
Justice Ayisi Addo is among 12 High Court Judges and 22 magistrates who have been accused of misconduct after they allegedly received bribes from Anas.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, 7 out of the 12<\/a><\/strong><\/span> High Court judges have been suspended.<\/p>\n Captain Effah-Dartey speaking on Eyewitness News<\/strong> said, \u201clooking at the transcript and the audiovisual and listening to him, our position is that he has not misconducted himself in anyway at all.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cHe is very innocent of the allegations against him,\u201d the lawyer stated.<\/p>\n Though Captain Effah-Dartey disagreed with the prima facie case established by the Chief Justice against his client, he said they will still appear before the four member committee<\/a><\/strong><\/span> set to investigate the matter.<\/p>\n –<\/p>\n By: Godwin A.
