Popular TV presenter, Nana Aba Anamoah’s supposed “prank” on Twitter last week, has really turned out to be an expensive one, as her employer TV3, has decided to suspend her “until further notice.”<\/p>\n
According to sources close to the station, the management felt embarrassed following the social media frenzy and subsequent media reportage on Nana Aba’s\u00a0trolling on Twitter and other social media platforms.<\/p>\n
A disciplinary committee was subsequently set up by TV3 to look into the matter while the board of the company also thoroughly discussed it at a meeting on Friday.<\/p>\n
Nana Aba explained to the management that the owner of the pictures sent the photos to her which she tweeted to suggest that she was at Old Trafford but indeed she was not.<\/p>\n
Independent checks by the management confirmed Nana Aba’s explanations but they still felt the turn of events put the company in a bad light, hence the suspension.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a broadcast network that prides itself in upholding high ethical standards and delivering credible and trustworthy content to its viewers, TV3 would like to assure viewers and other key stakeholders that it shall continue to take all necessary steps to maintain such standards,\u201d the statement noted.<\/p>\n
For two consecutive days, Nana Aba trended on Twitter as followers mocked her and photo-shopped her images into different photo scenarios.<\/p>\n
