{"id":150010,"date":"2015-09-09T06:40:19","date_gmt":"2015-09-09T06:40:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=150010"},"modified":"2015-09-09T06:56:30","modified_gmt":"2015-09-09T06:56:30","slug":"ndcs-abysmal-failure-will-send-them-out-of-office-akuffo-addo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=150010","title":{"rendered":"NDC&#8217;s &#8216;abysmal failure&#8217; will send them out of office &#8211; Akuffo Addo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo Addo has criticized President Mahama for saying that he will win the 2016 election with ease.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">President Mahama at a ceremony to file his nomination forms to contest in the\u00a0NDC\u2019s presidential primaries on Monday, predicted &#8220;<span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/09\/08\/i-look-forward-to-4-more-years-in-power-mahama\/\" target=\"_blank\">another one-touch victory<\/a>&#8220;<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0in the 2016 elections.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This according to him follows the impressive performance of the NDC administration in the first term of office.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;rYKWzIF04amMGLLlQBUCtHP3qCR14Wjl&#8221;]But addressing nurses at the Holy Family Nursing Training College, as part of the party\u2019s \u2018rise and build\u2019 tour at Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region, Nana Addo was skeptical about the NDC\u2019s optimism,\u00a0considering what he referred to as the challenging economic situation in the country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe are told that this record of abysmal failure, widespread unemployment, constant failure of enterprises, high price levels and low wages will guarantee the president a one of one time victory in 2016.\u00a0I think he is reckoning without the people of Ghana. The people of Ghana will have something to say about that and I am hoping that you will join the majority to say that no, we need a new direction,\u201d Nana Addo said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nana Adddo further assured that the NPP when voted into power, will ensure that it rids the public sector off all forms of corrupt practices.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The flagbearer also promised the nurses of ready employment upon completion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Vice presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia on his part criticized the NDC government for the country\u2019s increasing debt stock, which he said had shot up from GHc9.5 million in 2008 to GHc90 billion, notwithstanding the oil, gold cocoa and tax revenues accruing to the government.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dr. Bawumia further indicated that the allowances for trainee teachers and nurses will be <strong><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/04\/26\/mixed-reactions-to-teacher-trainee-allowances-withdrawal\/\" target=\"_blank\">re-instituted<\/a><\/span><\/strong> if the NPP comes into power.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u201c\u2026We are going to make a major transformation in the country, the very first budget of an NPP administration, we will restore the teacher and nurses trainee allowances, there is a major paradigm shift that is going to hit the country,\u2026we need Nana Akufo Addo at the helm,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By: Pius Amihere Eduku\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo Addo has criticized President Mahama for saying that he will win the 2016 election with ease.
