Some commercial drivers within the Ashaiman Municipality have embarked on a sit down strike to compel the Drivers and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) to revise a set of\u00a0new directives.<\/p>\n
The drivers are protesting what they say is an overwhelming increment in insurance fees.<\/p>\n

Drivers have stopped working, they say they have started the strike. No commercial vehicle is working in Ashaiman.”<\/p>\n Speaking to Citi News<\/strong>, the Secretary of the Union, Samuel Amoah said;\u00a0“it is good that we fight for our rights because if we sit down and they impose this thing on us, it will not help<\/span>.”<\/span><\/p>\n Another driver, who is also a member of the union \u00a0said: “Three hours down, everything has changed again. Drivers have stopped working.
