{"id":147704,"date":"2015-08-31T15:00:08","date_gmt":"2015-08-31T15:00:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=147704"},"modified":"2015-08-31T15:00:08","modified_gmt":"2015-08-31T15:00:08","slug":"nuamahs-wife-in-us-heard-the-news-before-i-did-mum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=147704","title":{"rendered":"Nuamah&#8217;s wife in US heard the news before I did &#8211; Mum\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The family of the wife of Samuel Nuamah has described as unacceptable the manner in which his demise was broken on social media.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;g6tfD1612GfQ2g4LCVX4ZMtsXt3qSOWY&#8221;]Samuel Nuamah a Ghanaian Times Newspaper presidential correspondent<span style=\"color: #666699;\"> <strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/08\/27\/memorial-service-to-be-held-for-late-samuel-nuamah\/\" target=\"_blank\">died in an accident<\/a><\/strong><\/span> involving the media bus while returning from an assignment in Ho in the Volta Region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking to Citi News\u00a0at the one week commemoration of his passing, the late Numah&#8217;s\u00a0mother in-law, Aba Kwansima\u00a0described the manner in which her daughter learnt of the demise of his husband as painful saying \u201cthe painful part is that my daughter heard the news in far away USA before I did. She called to confirm but I denied it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She added that her daughter kept insisting that \u201cshe had seen pictures on social media.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to her a friend to the family later confirmed the incident to them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to Mr. Nuamah\u2019s in-law such news which has the potential of causing serious emotional and psychological trauma to the bereaved family must be broken with caution.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She therefore urged social media users to desist from breaking such emotional news on their platforms before families are informed. She also called for a critical look into what is posted on social media.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Meanwhile burial for the late Samuel Nuamah is set for September 17th 2015.
