I must say that from my experiences there is no contact between the leadership of the Muslim community and the Muslim youth,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sheikh Arimiyaw has also admonished parents to advice their children on who they take as their mentors.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There have been reports that some Ghanaian youth <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/08\/25\/knust-graduate-joins-isis-terrorist-group\/\" target=\"_blank\">had joined the militant group<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0in the Middle East, ISIS.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The National Security Co-ordinator, Mr Yaw Donkor confirmed that<span style=\"color: #666699;\"> <strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/08\/28\/two-ghanaians-join-isis-national-security-co-ordinator-confirms\/\" target=\"_blank\">two Ghanaians<\/a><\/strong><\/span> including a graduate from the Kwame Nkrumah Science and Technology have joined the\u00a0dreaded\u00a0terrorist group.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking <strong>Eyewitness News<\/strong> Sheik Arimiyaw said the office of the Chief Imam received the news of 25-year-old Nazir Nortey Alema joining terror group ISIS.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe received the information with shock and trepidation because of the implications it has. It indicates that our youth are in danger of imbibing certain views that can truncate what they are going through in order to build for themselves responsible lives as Muslims and as Ghanaians.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He added that no matter how intelligent that young people are they need to be guided to be able to live responsible lives.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He however disputed the assertion that Muslim youth may be influenced to join radical groups because of poverty.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI don\u2019t think the people in Zongos are poor. Many of them are working, except those idling.
