The Northern Regional Police command has arrested four people in connection with last Sunday\u2019s shooting incident at Savelugu.<\/p>\n
Public Relations Officer of the Northern regional police command, ASP Ebenezer Tetteh who confirmed the arrest to Citi News said the arrested persons are in police custody. He also stated that the police retrieved an AK47 gun.<\/p>\n
ASP Tetteh said the police is still investigating the suspects and will arraign them before court after the investigations.<\/p>\n
\u2018\u2019This is a pure assault case that was reported at the Savelugu police station;\u2026as we speak the four arrested are under investigations,\u2019\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n
According to him, the arrest has brought some peace and calm in the village.<\/p>\n
\u2018\u2019With the arrest of the suspects we hope that the people in the village will not take the law into his own hands; anybody who dares to the law into his hands will be arrested and dealt with,\u2019\u2019 he cautioned.<\/p>\n
The incident which occurred after a misunderstanding resulted in the death of one Majid Musani.<\/p>\n
