A 40- year-old manager of Ecobank, Seth Akyea, has been shot dead by three unidentified persons at his residence at\u00a0Kasoa.<\/p>\n
Seth Akyea until his death was a bank officer at the Labone branch of the bank.<\/p>\n
The incident occurred around 9.30 pm last Friday.<\/p>\n
Seth Akyea was killed when he arrived home from work at Kasoa New Market in the Central Region.<\/p>\n
The Kasoa Divisional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Samuel Winful said the deceased\u2019s vehicle was taken by the suspects and later abandoned.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen he got home, he got down from the car and the suspects attacked him. They requested for his car keys. There was a lady in the car and the suspects asked her to go into the house. They marched the deceased to the passenger side and had a conversation with him where they shot him. And they took the car with them but the car has currently been retrieved. The murderers are three in all,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He added that it was too early to describe the incident as a contract killing and stated that investigations were ongoing.<\/p>\n
\u201cNow we cannot say it is contract killing and we are doing our investigations to unravel everything connected to the incident\u201d, he added.<\/p>\n
