{"id":145754,"date":"2015-08-24T06:00:57","date_gmt":"2015-08-24T06:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=145754"},"modified":"2015-08-24T08:41:39","modified_gmt":"2015-08-24T08:41:39","slug":"npps-hajia-fati-arrested-for-attacking-afokos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=145754","title":{"rendered":"NPP\u2019s Hajia Fati arrested for attacking Afokos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hajia Fati, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) stalwart was arrested last Thursday by the ministries Police for allegedly leading attacks on family members of Paul Afoko, the party&#8217;s\u00a0National Chairman.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This follows a complaint made by some members of the\u00a0<span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/08\/18\/adam-mahamas-family-attacks-afokos-family-in-court\/\" target=\"_blank\">Afoko family were attacked<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0at the Cocoa Affairs court after Gregory Afoko\u2019s bail application was denied.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;6ppvv24Q5bcMyFZxpPO3GJCRFATVDT9w&#8221;]Paul Afoko\u2019s brother, Gregory has been charged with conspiracy and murder of NPP\u2019s Upper East Chairman, Adam Mahama who was killed after an acid attack.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Aggrieved family members of the late Adam Mahama, on Tuesday <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/08\/18\/adam-mahamas-family-attacks-afokos-family-in-court-2\/\" target=\"_blank\">stormed the court<\/a><\/strong><\/span> in Accra and allegedly attacked relatives of Afoko where Hajia Fati was spotted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Though Hajia Fati has since been granted bail she told <strong>Citi News<\/strong> she never attacked anyone.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThey arrested me to the ministries Police station that have beaten his children so they should arrest me. One Cynthia Afoko and another lady reported that I have beaten them at the court. So they took me to the ministries Police station, they took my statement and then they said someone should bail me. And when that was done they said I should report to Tuesday again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cMy charge was that I have beaten one Cynthia Afoko and another lady, I don\u2019t know her name.
