{"id":145213,"date":"2015-08-21T06:31:46","date_gmt":"2015-08-21T06:31:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=145213"},"modified":"2015-08-21T11:57:07","modified_gmt":"2015-08-21T11:57:07","slug":"mahama-visits-injured-journalists-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=145213","title":{"rendered":"Mahama visits injured journalists"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">President John Dramani Mahama on Thursday evening visited injured presidential press corps members who are currently on admission at the 37 military hospital.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Most of them are responding to treatment but Peace FM&#8217;s William Gyentu is said to be in a critical but stable condition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;HUBtIoIl3f6w1Zb8dzFEGfQ8z25fMmkb&#8221;]The van which was carrying the presidential press corps was involved in a fatal accident when one of it&#8217;s\u00a0tyres burst.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The others, Pascaline Adadevoh of GBC, Napoleon Ato Kittoe of GTV, Patrick Bida,\u00a0Mawusi gboglah &#8211; TV Africa,\u00a0Edward Kwabi-tv3 and a\u00a0camera man from UTV\u00a0are all responding to treatment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The injured journalists\u00a0were airlifted by a helicopter to the 37 Military Hospital after the accident which happened around the Shai Hills.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">However, a reporter with the Ghanaian Times Samuel Nuamah died on the spot when the bus veered off the road and somersaulted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Managing News Editor at Ghanaian Times Newspaper David Agbenu told <strong>Citi News<\/strong> that they are devastated at Nuamah\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-145083 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/acciden-journalist-at-37-4.jpg\" alt=\"acciden journalist at 37 (4)\" width=\"533\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/acciden-journalist-at-37-4.jpg 533w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/acciden-journalist-at-37-4-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 533px) 100vw, 533px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe are in a state of shock and a very somber mood because our colleague is one of our flawless writers, he is a gem and he\u2019s been at the presidency for the past eight years. This is a guy we are talking about and we cannot understand why he has to go that way. We are deeply saddened by the news that our colleague was involved in an accident.
