{"id":14265,"date":"2014-04-18T13:44:44","date_gmt":"2014-04-18T13:44:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=14265"},"modified":"2014-04-18T14:33:45","modified_gmt":"2014-04-18T14:33:45","slug":"stanbic-bank-donates-ghc-7500-to-easter-orphan-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=14265","title":{"rendered":"Stanbic Bank donates  GHC 7,500 to Easter Orphan Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Stanbic Bank Ghana has contributed an amount of <strong>GHC 7,500<\/strong> in support of the 9th edition of <strong>Citi FM\u2019s <em>Easter Orphan Project.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>The\u00a0Easter Orphan Projec<\/strong>t<\/em>\u00a0is an annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project which raises funds to support some orphanages across the country.<\/p>\n<p>The Communications Manager of Stanbic Bank, Kojo Larbi presenting the cheque to <b>Citi FM<\/b> said the donation was in line with the bank\u2019s quest to support and improve on the quality of life of orphans and the needy in society.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, the gesture is also in fulfillment of the Bank&#8217;s social responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>Stanbic bank also pledged to organize routine entrepreneurial workshops and training for some of the orphans in the various orphanages.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Larbi added that the bank represent the transformation of society and believes by the donation, lives will be transformed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Citi FM<\/strong> has over the years supported the Baptist School Complex and Orphanage in Trotor (a hamlet near Suhum), the Jehovah Raffa orphanage \u2013 Suhum, Handivangelism at Haatso and Mama Ladi Orphanage in Bolgatanga with cash donations, stationary , food items and more.<\/p>\n<p>In 2013, the station and its donors built a vocational training center for the Suhum Baptist School Complex.<\/p>\n<p>The main aim of this year\u2019s <strong><em>Easter Orphan Project<\/em><\/strong> is to equip the training center with the tools and equipment needed to facilitate proper training of the orphans in the fields of carpentry, plumbing, electricals and hairdressing.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the\u00a02014 edition of the <em><strong>Easter Orphan Project<\/strong> <\/em>would also donate to Mama Ladi Orphanage \u2013 Bolga, Raffa Orphanage and Handivangelism.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Citi FM<\/strong>\u00a0is calling on individuals and organizations to support the Easter Orphan Project by donating cash or items such as toiletries, bags of rice, canned food, drinks, biscuits, detergents, stationery and other non-perishables at the front desk of\u00a0<strong>Citi FM,<\/strong>\u00a0behind the Adabraka police station.<\/p>\n<p>All cheque donations should be addressed to\u00a0<strong>The Citi FM Foundation,<\/strong>\u00a0Merchant Bank \u2013 Accra main branch, with the account number\u00a0<strong>00001\/01\/012295\/40.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Donations can also be made via Airtel money.
