{"id":138849,"date":"2015-07-29T13:53:26","date_gmt":"2015-07-29T13:53:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=138849"},"modified":"2015-07-29T17:34:34","modified_gmt":"2015-07-29T17:34:34","slug":"ndc-govt-scores-47-in-imani-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=138849","title":{"rendered":"NDC gov&#8217;t scores 47% in IMANI assessment report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Policy think tank, IMANI Ghana \u00a0has graded the Mahama-led administration 47 % for its overall performance since it took over power in 2012.<\/p>\n<p>The think tank, in its assessment report described the National Democratic Congress&#8217; (NDC) performance as &#8220;satisfactory&#8221; but was quick to add that there is more room for improvement.<\/p>\n<p>This was after IMANI Ghana assessed the party based on its promises in the 2012 manifesto.<\/p>\n<p>The report also evaluated the rate of execution of programs and projects stated in the manifesto and identified the gaps that should to be bridged over the next year and a half before the 2016 election.<\/p>\n<p>For the economy, \u201cthe NDC government had a cumulative score of\u00a0 36.4%, reflecting a strong progress in the implementation of security services and economy, road and safety taskforce.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The NDC, according to the report, \u00a0also scored\u00a0 65.7 %, reflecting very strong scores in non formal education, distant learning and\u00a0 open schooling and satisfactory progress in all the sub themes except secondary education.<\/p>\n<p>Presenting the report, an economist with IMANI Ghana, Emmanuel Boadi Mensah however pinpointed some promises government had not yet fulfilled.<\/p>\n<p>He said : \u201cthe GDP growth has decreased from about 15% in 2011 to a projected 3.5 %.This means that the 8.5 % that they punched has not been achieved.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Although physical deficit has decreased, \u00a0the report indicates that the deficit is still above the target of 5% promised.<\/p>\n<p>His assertion is in conformity with the Minister of Finance, Seth Terkper<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Marian Efe Ansah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<br \/>\n<a class=\"twitter-follow-button\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EfeAnsah\" data-show-count=\"false\">Follow @EfeAnsah<\/a><br \/>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\">\/\/ <![CDATA[\n!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s) [0],p=\/^http:\/.test(d.location)?'http':'https';if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src=p+':\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js';fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document, 'script', 'twitter-wjs');\n\/\/ ]]><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Policy think tank, IMANI Ghana \u00a0has graded the Mahama-led administration 47 % for its overall performance since it took over power in 2012.
