Akanbong revealed that the five were among a small group of seven Ghanaians out of a larger group of thirty-five (35) people en route to the United States of America through Panama and Mexico.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the statement, many of such deaths occur on this route involving Ghanaian asylum seekers making the hazardous journey through the forest from Brazil through Colombia, Panama and Mexico.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Ministry promised to provide any prospective traveller with advice to ensure that they were not putting their lives at risk.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Ministry also advised travelers to use appropriate and lawful means to embark on their journeys.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is believed that about eighty (80) Ghanaian nationals are still in the forest trying to cross the border from Colombia to Panama with the hope of making it to the USA.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By: Selassie A.
