A 36-year-old man is being investigated by the National Security Secretariat for carrying a gun<\/a><\/strong><\/span> into the church that President John Mahama and his family worship.<\/p>\n

The man, according to a statement from the Ministry of Communications was “fidgety” and looked “suspicious.”<\/p>\n

President John Mahama and his family who worship at the\u00a0Ringway Gospel Centre branch of the Assemblies of God Church were not in church yesterday, according to the statement.<\/p>\n

Apart from the first family, other key government officials including the Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Woode attend the same church.<\/p>\n

It is unclear yet what the man was hoping to achieve, carrying a gun into the church but the statement from the Communications Ministry, said investigations are still ongoing.<\/p>\n
