I stand for development.\u00a0 All I want is to say is that very honestly, \u00a0if I could take a slap from everybody here I will be willing do it. I am very sorry\u00a0 for those utterances, I have never stood for anything like that and unequivocally&#8230; I am very sorry,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After his apology, the Speaker of Parliament Edward Doe Adjaho asked Blakk Rasta to \u201cgo and sin no more,\u201d saying \u201cwe shall be watching you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>How the story unfolded:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>June 18, 2015:<\/strong> Parliament <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/06\/18\/black-rasta-dragged-to-parliaments-privileges-committee\/\" target=\"_blank\">summons Blakk Rasta<\/a><\/strong><\/span> for alleging that about 80% or more of Ghana\u2019s legislators \u201cmight have used marijuana before or are using it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>June 22, 2015<\/strong>: Parliament <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/06\/22\/parliament-to-grill-blakk-rasta-on-thursday\/\" target=\"_blank\">officially invites Blakk\u00a0Rasta<\/a><\/strong><\/span> in a letter\u00a0signed by Ebenezer Ahumah Djietotror, Principal Assistant Clerk of the Privileges Committee.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; Editor\u00a0of the Daily Searchlight Newspaper, <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/06\/24\/ken-kuranchie-blakk-rasta-to-face-parliament-today\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ken Kuranchie was also invited<\/a><\/strong><\/span> to Parliament\u2019 Privileges Committee for publishing Blakk Rasta&#8217;s claims in his newspaper.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>June 24, 2015:<\/strong>\u00a0Deputy Ranking Member of the Committee Nana Amoako assured that they will be fair to Blakk Rasta.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>June 25, 2015:\u00a0<\/strong>Blakk Rasta apologised to Members of Parliament saying his comments came in \u201con the spur of the moment\u201d and on heat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>June 28, 2015: <\/strong>Reggae musician and radio host, Blakk Rasta is apparently not out of the woods yet, after Deputy Majority Leader, Alfred Agbesi hinted that Parliament is likely to punish him despite an apology from him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>July 6, 2015:<\/strong>\u00a0Controversial radio personality Blakk Rasta resigned from Hitz FM after eight years with the station saying he felt betrayed by his employers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; On that same day, self acclaimed dance hall king, Shatta Wale has taken to social media to mock controversial radio personality Blakk Rasta for quitting his job at Hitz FM.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Shatta called him a liar for making unsubstantiated claims on his show, Taxi Driver.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>July 24, 2015<\/strong>:Blakk Rasta was <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/07\/24\/blakk-rasta-in-more-trouble-dragged-to-bar-of-parliament\/\" target=\"_blank\">hauled before the Bar of Parliament<\/a><\/strong><\/span> to apologise again before he was pardoned.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By: Godwin A.
