Tigo Ghana has handed over a six classroom block to the people of Tupaa in the Ga South Municipal assembly in the Greater Accra region.<\/p>\n

The new facility, Tupaa Basic School is the second of six such structures that have been built for some communities across the country to replace makeshift structures popularly called schools under trees.<\/p>\n

Other beneficiary communities include the Obeng Yaw Basic school in Adeiso in the Eastern region , Ejura Sekyere Dumase MA school in the Ashanti region, St. Joseph primary school in Obuasi in the Ashanti region , Dimabi nursery and primary school in Tolon Kumbungu in the Northern region and the Banda Ahenkoro MA school in Banda Ahenkro in the Brong Ahafo region.<\/p>\n

Tigo Ghana under the Shelter 4 education project is building six unit classrooms with headmaster\u2019s office, staff common room and a KVIP for all the selected schools or in need of renovation across the country.<\/p>\n

Leading the team from Tigo Ghana to hand over the facility to the chiefs and people of Tupaa , the director of Corporate communications and CSR of Tigo Ghana Gifty Bingley said,\u201d Tigo remains committed to empowering communities by promoting educational opportunities that make a positive difference in people\u2019s lives\u201d.<\/p>\n
