{"id":135967,"date":"2015-07-20T06:19:44","date_gmt":"2015-07-20T06:19:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=135967"},"modified":"2015-07-20T06:28:33","modified_gmt":"2015-07-20T06:28:33","slug":"chief-naatia-fetes-nyohini-childrens-home-inmates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=135967","title":{"rendered":"Chief Naatia fetes Nyohini Children\u2019s home inmates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tamale based chief priest, Chief Naatia Salifu Shiraz has rekindled the aspirations of inmates of the\u00a0Tamale Nyohini Children\u2019s Home by organizing a special Eid-ul Fetir\u00a0get-together for them at the orphanage.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from enjoying food and beverages, the inmates benefited from dippers,\u00a0toiletries, assorted detergents and other goodies.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Naatia told <strong>Citi News<\/strong> the inmates welfare remained his\u00a0major priority.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/IMG_4876.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-135982 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/IMG_4876-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_4876\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/IMG_4876-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/07\/IMG_4876.jpg 650w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Continuing the\u00a0annual tradition which began in 2010, he pledged his continuous\u00a0support for the inmates\u2019 upkeep.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe all understand what we call an orphan and I sat down and said no I\u00a0cannot enjoy the festival alone in the house, I have to go and share it\u00a0with them: they don\u2019t have parents who will make them happy and that is the\u00a0most reason why I always celebrate the salat with them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He revealed the establishment of \u2018T\u2019 Radio station in Tamale to give voice\u00a0to the destitute in society especially inmates of the Nyohini Children\u2019s\u00a0Home.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have a new radio station in Tamale called T radio and I promised them I\u00a0will get them enough time to share their problems with the society for\u00a0help.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chief Naatia implored other philanthropists to support the Nyohini\u00a0Children\u2019s Home.<\/p>\n<p>Director of the Nyohini Children\u2019s Home, Mrs. Augustine Quainoe commended\u00a0Chief Naatia for his immeasurable assistance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are very grateful for such kind gesture: he comes here twice within the\u00a0year during Eid-ul Fetir and Eid-ul Adha and so we are appealing to other\u00a0philanthropists to emulate Chief Naatia\u2019s example.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to her, Chief Naatia has intermittently been responding to the\u00a0pressing needs of the inmates aside the Eid-ul Fetir get-together.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn fact, he has been coming here not even during salat alone, whenever we\u00a0are in need and call on him he comes to support us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She also thanked the first lady, Mrs. Lordina Mahama and Gender Minister Oye Lithur for their\u00a0\u00a0constant support.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGovernment is helping us a lot: the first lady and the Ministry of\u00a0Children, Gender and Social Protection are doing their best.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By: Abdul Karim Naatogmah\/Citifmonline.com\/<wbr \/>Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tamale based chief priest, Chief Naatia Salifu Shiraz has rekindled the aspirations of inmates of the\u00a0Tamale Nyohini Children\u2019s Home by organizing a special Eid-ul Fetir\u00a0get-together for them at the orphanage.
