{"id":135832,"date":"2015-07-19T06:30:14","date_gmt":"2015-07-19T06:30:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=135832"},"modified":"2015-07-18T21:45:25","modified_gmt":"2015-07-18T21:45:25","slug":"farmer-remanded-for-murdering-girlfriend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=135832","title":{"rendered":"Farmer remanded for murdering girlfriend"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Akim Swedru Circuit Court has remanded into prison custody a 43-year-old farmer who allegedly slashed his girlfriend with a cutlass leading to her death.<\/p>\n<p>Kwame Badu was charged with murder contrary to section 46 of Act 29\/60 and would reappear on July 31, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;QYqtAc7WF1jiMIsCJ5g5rpvfTWILNBsX&#8221;]Briefing the court presided over by Mr Emmanuel Plange Brew, Chief Inspector Fabbian Sallah said; Kwame Badu the accused comes from Gomoa Lome but lives at Bomoden village near Akim Aprade with Madam Abena Dua, 46, the deceased.<\/p>\n<p>On July 15 at about 0820 hours, Mr Yaw Foh, a witness in the case reported to the Akim Aprade Police that, during the night of July 14, this year, a misunderstanding ensued between the accused and the deceased and in the process, Badu slashed the deceased on her right upper temple with a cutlass.<\/p>\n<p>According to the prosecution, the police went to the scene and conveyed the corpse to the Akim Oda Government Hospital for autopsy.<\/p>\n<p>The accused was later arrested from his hide out.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<br \/>\nSource: GNA<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Akim Swedru Circuit Court has remanded into prison custody a 43-year-old farmer who allegedly slashed his girlfriend with a cutlass leading to her death.
