{"id":134791,"date":"2015-07-15T14:39:53","date_gmt":"2015-07-15T14:39:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=134791"},"modified":"2015-07-15T14:40:40","modified_gmt":"2015-07-15T14:40:40","slug":"another-ghanaian-girl-rescued-from-kuwait","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=134791","title":{"rendered":"Another Ghanaian girl rescued from Kuwait"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ghana\u2019s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Alhaji Saide Sinare has rescued a young lady from Kuwait after being maltreated in a home she worked in as a maid.<\/p>\n<p>Recounting her ordeal in Kuwait, the victim who pleaded anonymity told <strong>Citi News<\/strong>\u00a0she was forced to travel to make money to further her education to the tertiary level but ended up frustrated and almost commited suicide.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;NCMZcUCZRSNkwgRLteCVmwBWu4a9wuhR&#8221;]She mentioned that but for the benevolence of Alhaji Saide Sinare, she would still have been suffering the abuse from her bosses in Kuwait.<\/p>\n<p>Narrating her ordeal to <strong>Citi News<\/strong>, she stated that she did not know about the country Kuwait but an agent in Ghana convinced that her she could get a job as a personal assistant.<\/p>\n<p>Subsequnetly, she paid him to secure her a visa and she later bought a ticket and traveled to Kuwait.<\/p>\n<p>But her woes immediately began when she arrived at the aiport.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I arrived at the airport, my passport was seized and I was kept in a room for 7 hours. When I got to the house, I realized that it was slavery.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Work 20 hours a day<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The lady said out of the 24 hours in a day, she was made to work 20 hours.<\/p>\n<p>Lucky for her, she got her phone back and \u201cbecause it\u2019s an android phone, it connected with the wi fi in the house and I started contacting friends in Ghana asking for help and they told me the Ambassordor was in Saudi Arabia.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen he [Ambassador] came in, he helped and I was released. At a point, I wanted to take my life but when he came in, he was very encourgaing and he called me everyday to find our how I was doing and was telling me what they were doing to help me get out of the place.
