{"id":133599,"date":"2015-07-13T05:50:55","date_gmt":"2015-07-13T05:50:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=133599"},"modified":"2015-07-13T07:44:50","modified_gmt":"2015-07-13T07:44:50","slug":"driver-mate-in-trouble-for-allegedly-assaulting-a-policeman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=133599","title":{"rendered":"Driver, mate in trouble for allegedly assaulting a Policeman"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A driver and his mate together with a farmer have run into trouble with the law for allegedly assaulting a Policeman at Nyinahin in the Atwima-Mponua District of the Ashanti Region.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;NDxPY4iFN02jx6zD4hWg1aDx1czQLCRV&#8221;]Michael Nartey, Matthew Badu and Kwaku Agyapong have already appeared before the Nyinahin Magistrate Court charged with assault and abetment of crime.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">They all pleaded not guilty to the charge and were each granted GH?10,000 bail with a surety, to re-appear on Monday, July, 20.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Police Chief Inspector Sampson Cobbina told the court presided over by Mr. Sam Nibi that the incident <a style=\"text-decoration:none; color: #333;\" href=\"http:\/\/genericsing.com\">http:\/\/genericsing.com<\/a> happened on July 2nd at about 0130 hours.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He said the victim was on guard duty at the Amanano Rural Bank when a Mercedes Benz bus driven by Nartey pulled up in-front the bank to pick some passengers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The officer asked him to move the bus from the unauthorized parking place but he refused and insulted the policemen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nartey was later joined by his mate Badu and Agyepong to physically assault the officer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">His colleagues at the Nyinahin Police station heard of the attack and quickly moved in to arrest the culprits.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Source: GNA<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A driver and his mate together with a farmer have run into trouble with the law for allegedly assaulting a Policeman at Nyinahin in the Atwima-Mponua District of the Ashanti Region.
