Controversial hiplife artiste, Barima Sidney has lamented that he feels sad anytime he is associated with a political party.<\/p>\n
He said although such tags are\u00a0frustrating, they\u00a0cannot dissuade him because \u201cbasically the motivation” behind his songs is the “truth”.<\/p>\n
“….It hurts to hear the truth.I look at things going on in the society and then package them in my songs.\u201d<\/p>\n
Barima Sidney with real name Sidney Ofori has on several occasions, through his songs, hit hard at the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) for doing little to improve the nation\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n
Speaking on Sunyani based radio station, J life FM, Barima Sidney bemoaned the political tag.<\/p>\n
\u201cSometimes it\u2019s sad when they tag me, but I\u2019ve realized it is a strategy they use just to frustrate me on the course that I\u2019m championing. Since I realized it\u2019s a strategy, it doesn\u2019t bother me anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u00a0\u201cSo far as it goes against the government of the day, they will tag you as being in-bed with the other party but all I do is to focus and work for mother Ghana,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
