{"id":13237,"date":"2014-04-14T09:16:52","date_gmt":"2014-04-14T09:16:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=13237"},"modified":"2014-04-14T09:16:52","modified_gmt":"2014-04-14T09:16:52","slug":"rabiu-mohammed-makes-timely-return","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/?p=13237","title":{"rendered":"Rabiu Mohammed makes timely return"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After five months of frustration through a long injury lay out on the sidelines, Ghana&#8217;s Rabiu Mohammed has made a return to the pitch.<\/p>\n<p>The 23-year-old midfielder came on for the last 10 minutes as his Russian club Kuban Krasnodar cruised to a 2-0 away win over Rubin Kazan in the Russian Premier League on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The lanky Mohammed had last played a competitive game in November last year, before suffering a serious injury that threatened to rule him out of the World Cup.<\/p>\n<p>The news of his return will particularly come as music to Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah&#8217;s ears, as during most of his tenure, he has openly made known his preference for the former Evian Thonon Gaillard man as his midfield enforcer.<\/p>\n<p>His return is expected to raise the level of competition for places in Ghana&#8217;s much publicized populated midfield as Kwesi Appiah gears up to name his team for the upcoming World Cup in Brazil.<\/p>\n<p>Kuban Krasnodar are at home to CSKA Moskva on Sunday in their next competitive fixture, and Mohammed will be hoping to play a part in coach Viktor Goncharenko&#8217;s plans as he continues to ease his way back to form.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Credit: allsports.com.gh<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After five months of frustration through a long injury lay out on the sidelines, Ghana&#8217;s Rabiu Mohammed has made a return to the pitch.
