M. S. Tara, Chief Director at the Ministry of Finance, \u201cthis exercise is a follow up to an earlier one on employees with zero bank account numbers which ended in February, 2015.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Coalition of Concerned Teachers \u2013 Ghana (CCT \u2013 GH) in the Upper West Region had earlier <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/06\/23\/15000-teachers-may-not-receive-june-salaries\/#sthash.g5GECcEQ.dpbs\" target=\"_blank\">threatened to sue the sector Ministry<\/a><\/strong><\/span> and the CAGD should the directive be implemented.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The group claims about 15,000 teachers are likely to be affected should the directive be implemented.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But the statement explained that social security details of an employee are basic information required for processing their salaries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cIt is also important to state that the stoppage of salaries of employees as a result of failure to submit social security information does not mean that the names would be deleted from the payroll but CAGD\u00a0 will suspend the salaries until such information are provided for their salaries to be restored.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Ministry of Finance further urged the affected employees to submit their social security numbers with their social security cards or statements from SSNIT to their Chief Directors for verification and updates by the Personnel Processing Sections (PPSs) of their Ministries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe CAGD will only process the salaries of any affected employee who follows the above procedure,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By: Godwin A.
