The Coalition of Unemployed Nurses and Midwives and the Ghana Nurses-Midwife Trainees\u2019 Association (GNMTA) have suspended\u00a0their intended demonstration due to what executives described as “a grace period” of 22 days given to the sector Minister, Alex Segbefia.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”1BSES2ZzefCzj4P0GI9gEP66fxTvlwtX”]The group had planned to demonstrate on Tuesday, June 30 to protest the Health Ministry\u2019s failure to post its members to various health facilities since they completed school.<\/p>\n
However, the group said it has rescheduled the demonstration to afford the new Health Minister, enough time to study their concerns.<\/p>\n
National Coordinator of the group, Marcus Sarfo told Citi News<\/strong> the group will take action in three weeks if\u00a0the Minister fail to attend to their needs.<\/p>\n A press statement from the group also said the members decided on the postponement as a sign of respect to the Minister who indicated that he was not properly informed about their plight and promised to deal with the matter if given some time.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have given the Minister and his team 22 days to resolve our issues or we hit the streets,\u201d the statement noted.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n By: Selassie A.
