The Secretary of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) Junior Staff Association, Samuel Boateng saythe newly appointed Managing Director of TOR, Awuah Darko will only succeed if he resists political influence.<\/p>\n

President John Mahama has appointed Kingsley Awuah Darko as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR).<\/p>\n
A\u00a0statement signed by the Chief of Staff \u00a0said Mr Awuah Darko \u201chas been asked to take over responsibility for the management of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR). Mr. Awuah Darko who is also the Acting Managing Director of BOST takes over from Dr. Alphone Kwao Dorcoo who has been reassigned to the Ministry of Petroleum.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr. Boateng welcomed the company’s new CEO on behalf of employees , saying “we as workers we welcome him and we as workers will say that we have gotten somebody who will ensure that our plant runs 24\/7 without any shut down. We are also welcoming Awuah Darko and also telling him that he should be up to task.”<\/p>\n
