Speaking to Citi News Benjamin Ayeh conceded defeat and asked the NPP \u00a0to devise measures put \u00a0measures secure more seats for the party in the 2016 elections<\/p>\n
“I wasn’t very surprised so for someone to win, that should be normal.Clearly they have spoken and we should go by it but I believe the political parties can themselves decide on how to get the needed MPs in the chamber.”<\/p>\n
A total number of 335 delegates out of 337 voted in the constituency.<\/p>\n
The constituency formed part of the 30 other constituencies which could not vote in the NPP\u2019s June 13 primaries.<\/p>\n
This was due to some outstanding issues over the qualification of the candidates who were contesting in those constituencies.<\/p>\n
However, only 9 constituencies out of the 30 were cleared to hold their primaries on Saturday.<\/p>\n
